  • Middle School Mathematics Teacher

    The Swain Campus of Moravian Academy, serving children in Preschool through Grade 8 located in the Lehigh Valley seeks a full-time middle school mathematics teacher to teach sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade math courses. This role would focus on teaching four sections of middle school math. Ideally, the candidate has experience teaching coursework from PreAlgebra through Algebra 2. The school seeks candidates who are innovative, savvy with technology, have a firm grasp of teaching pedagogy, and embrace the unique developmental stages of middle school students.

    As a Middle School Spanish Teacher at Moravian Academy’s Historic Downtown Campus, you will lead sixth through eighth-grade students in a scaffolded, proficiency-based Spanish program grounded in best practices for second language acquisition.     Moravian Academy seeks a new Chief Financial and Operations Officer. The CFOO reports to the Head of School and is responsible for providing financial and operational direction and oversight for the school.

    As an officer of the Corporation, leader of the school’s Business Office, and member of the senior leadership team, Moravian Academy’s CFOO works collaboratively with the Board of Trustees, faculty, and staff to develop and implement key financial initiatives in support of the mission of the school. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a deep understanding of the complex array of factors that can affect an institution’s financial strength

  • Part-Time School Bus Driver

    Moravian Academy is hiring a responsible and reliable school bus driver to transport students to and from school as needed. These transportation runs will include field trips and athletic events throughout the week. The school bus driver's responsibilities include ensuring proper vehicle maintenance, observing safety and traffic rules, and maintaining order among students while they are on the bus.

    Position Description:
    To continue to develop and maintain a competitive girls’ Lacrosse program that supports Moravian Academy’s mission.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Organizes and supervises Moravian Academy’s girls’ Lacrosse program for grades 7 – 12.
    • Promotes the individual growth of each student athlete as well as embracing a team-first approach to success.
    • Assists the Director of Athletics and Physical Education in scheduling activities to ensure the development of the girls’ Lacrosse program.
    • Performs pre-season and postseason activities.
    • Organizes and conducts an off-season program while supporting multi-sport athletes.

    - Employees receive the benefit of Life and AD&D (Accidental Death & Dismemberment) insurance with an employer-provided maximum coverage of $50,000. This coverage offers financial protection and peace of mind to employees and their beneficiaries in the unfortunate event of death or dismemberment due to accidents.

    Short Term Disability - Moravian Academy offers Short Term Disability as an employer-provided benefit, ensuring financial security during periods of temporary disability. Employees are covered at 100% of their regular salary for the first 60 days of disability. For the subsequent four months, coverage remains robust at 60%, providing continued support during recovery and enabling employees to focus on their health without undue financial strain.

    Long Term Disability - Moravian Academy extends its commitment to employee well-being by providing Long Term Disability coverage as an employer-provided benefit.

    Voluntary Life - Through this benefit, employees have the opportunity to extend life insurance coverage to themselves, their spouses, and their children according to their specific requirements. This flexible option empowers staff members to tailor their insurance plans to suit their unique family circumstances, providing additional security and peace of mind.

    Employee Assistance Program - The UNUM Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers confidential counseling and support to help employees manage personal and work-related challenges.     Camp and Exploration Program Discount: Moravian Academy is pleased to offer its employees a 50% discount for enrollment in the Summer Camp or MAX after-school exploration programs

    Athletic and Wellness Center - Moravian Academy provides its employees with access to the AWC Athletic and Wellness Center. This facility offers state-of-the-art equipment and amenities to support employees in maintaining their physical fitness and overall well-being.
  • Retirement

    Moravian Academy provides a TIAA retirement plan option, available exclusively to full-time employees over the age of 21. This plan offers a generous 8% employer match for employees who contribute at least 5% of their salary. 
  • Time Off

    Moravian Academy provides generous Paid Time Off (PTO) benefits tailored to the needs of its faculty and non-faculty staff:
    • Faculty (Full-time): Receive 96 hours of Paid Time Off, which can be used for personal or sick time.
    • Non-faculty Staff (Full-time): Receive 112 hours of Paid Time Off for personal or sick time, along with 120 hours of dedicated Vacation time for leisure and relaxation.
    These PTO and vacation allowances reflect Moravian Academy's commitment to supporting work-life balance and employee well-being, ensuring that both faculty and staff have the necessary time off to recharge and attend to personal matters.
