3rd Grade Native American Exploration Project

Alejandro Monedero, Megan Roeder, & Megan Terry
We are proud of our third grade students on our Historic Downtown Campus, who recently completed and presented their Native American Exploration Projects. Through these projects, students shared what they learned about the first people who lived in Pennsylvania.

Throughout this interdisciplinary unit, students embarked on a fascinating journey as they explored the Paleo, Archaic, and Woodland groups of Native Americans. They conducted in-depth research and participated in a hands-on field trip to a simulated Native American Village at Waterloo, bringing history to life.

The students’ dedication and hard work culminated in their creation of diverse and informative exploration projects. These projects showcased a deep understanding of the knowledge they gained about the Native Americans who first inhabited this land. The exploration projects reflected students’ learning about the lifestyle and evolution of aspects of Native American culture.

To add to the excitement, our students had the wonderful opportunity to present their exploration projects in a Gallery Walk for families and other students this past week, sharing everything they learned and important details about their projects.

We are incredibly proud of the hard work and creativity the students showed during this unit of study! Thank you to families for helping your children to create such meaningful and unique projects to showcase their learning!
