Moravian Academy’s DECA chapter proudly represented at this year’s District Competition, held at Lehigh County Community College on December 16, 2024. Fourteen of our students competed across a variety of events, showcasing their skills in categories ranging from Financial Services Team Decision Making to Principles of Hospitality & Tourism. Below is a full list of competition categories and the outstanding results achieved by our talented team!
DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. The District Competition provides an opportunity for first-year competitors to shine in the Principles events and challenges teams of two to tackle real-world workplace scenarios, presenting solutions through role-play in front of judges. Students and teams are scored on a detailed rubric, with the top 8 in each category advancing to the State Competition. This year, the challenge was even greater, as DECA membership across districts continues to grow rapidly.
Congratulations to all our competitors for their outstanding performance across every event! We are proud to share that every Moravian Academy DECA participant earned a top-8 finish, achieving impressive scores and well-deserved recognition. This qualifies them all for State Competition in Hershey, PA this coming February. Join us in celebrating their hard work and success:
