LEARNING THROUGH EXPRESSION
We nurture creativity and artistry for each student. The fine and performing arts at all three Moravian Academy campuses are a part of our heritage. Students in all grades are able to tap into their creative spirit through a myriad of opportunities in the visual, musical, and theatre arts. By learning, exploring, and excelling in these disciplines our students develop an appreciation for the potential in themselves and their classmates, and broaden their horizons to interpret the world around them in new ways.
Creativity is not only a wonderful gift to be cherished but also an employable asset. In many ways, our curriculum immerses students in the experiences of creation and appreciation, recognizing that each has valuable abilities to nurture.
Throughout the year, we also offer a private lesson program to our students. Depending on their interest, students may choose from a variety of options, including band instruments to vocals or theatre prep. These lessons are then integrated into their school day on a weekly basis.
Our spiraling arts curriculum not only introduces students to the skills and concepts for drawing, painting, rhythm, and musical theory but also enriches a student’s knowledge of the processes and practices of creating art. By tapping into their imaginative spirit for creative, multicultural projects, students explore the world at large through their unique artistic lens.
