EXCELLENCE AND WELL BEING, ON AND OFF THE FIELD
Moravian Academy, a proud member of the Colonial League, District XI, and the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA), prioritizes extensive student involvement in athletics. Our campus boasts top-tier outdoor facilities, including game fields for soccer, field hockey, and lacrosse, as well as baseball and softball diamonds, tennis courts, and associated practice fields. These facilities support a wide range of athletic activities, ensuring students have the resources they need to pursue their interests.
Our 40,000-square-foot Athletic and Wellness Center is a hub of activity and wellness, featuring two state-of-the-art basketball courts with spectator stands, a multipurpose gym with a rubber composite floor, and a comprehensive wellness center equipped with strength and cardiovascular training equipment, along with a designated stretching area.
Athletics and physical education are integral to the Moravian Academy experience. Nearly 80% of students participate in at least one team annually, reflecting our commitment to inclusivity and high levels of participation. Our program emphasizes skill improvement, confidence-building, teamwork, and good sportsmanship. We believe in developing physical skills that allow students to enjoy competitive sports and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
In Health and Physical Education classes, we educate students on mental, physical, and emotional health, aligning with our mission to promote full development in mind, body, and spirit. These classes tie back to our core values of community, curiosity, integrity, and excellence.
At Moravian Academy, we value a commitment to teamwork, ethical sportsmanship, and sound conditioning methods, valuing these principles beyond the tally of wins and losses. Our dedication to both academic and athletic success motivates student-athletes to excel on and off the field, nurturing their growth into well-rounded individuals who lead with integrity and strive for excellence.

Moravian Academy has partnered with St. Luke’s Hospital
to provide
two professional, certified athletic trainers who are available during contests and practices to attend to the physical condition of athletes. The athletic trainers are responsible for all preventative measures such as taping or wrapping athletes. When an injury occurs, the athletic trainers make a diagnosis on the field and determines whether an athlete can continue play or should be seeking further evaluation for the injury.
When an athlete is injured, the trainers will provide a rehabilitation program and determine when the athlete may return to practice or gameplay.
