SWAIN CAMPUS DRAMATICS' 'DUNKIN' VS. STARBUCKS' COFFEEHOUSE
On Friday, December 8, 2023, Swain Campus Dramatics performed a Coffeehouse, blending diverse talents in an intimate setting. With a "Dunkin' vs. Starbucks" theme, our performances highlight individual preferences while celebrating unity in the shared space of a coffeehouse.
Coffeehouse is a concept that involves performing a variety show in an intimate setting. It was developed as part of the Swain Dramatics elective in the Fall. Our work this year is a mixture of both contemporary and original work and features monologues, skits, songs and an instrumental performance. The theme that the students chose this year is "Dunkin' vs. Starbucks". The idea is that, while many people have a preference, the act of people coming together in a coffeehouse from different backgrounds is really the important thing.
