Lower School Art Students Celebrate Community through Collaborative Art Installation

Brian Elstein
Lower School art students at our Historic Downtown Campus are creating a meaningful new installation themed “Creators of Community.” Through this project, students are thoughtfully exploring what it means to contribute to a vibrant, inclusive community. This collective artwork is a celebration of connection, creativity, and the unique voices that make up our school.

Using a range of collage techniques, students are designing their own structures—buildings and houses that reflect both their individuality and their creativity. Each piece invites viewers to see the personal touches that make up our community, as students weave their own personalities and artistic styles into their work.

When completed, this multi-dimensional installation will feature both 2-D and 3-D elements, blending a variety of artistic mediums. Together, the students’ work reflects the strength of our Moravian Academy community—a tapestry of diverse talents and perspectives coming together as one.

Opening later this year, the installation will be displayed in the second-floor hallway of the CE building. This vibrant showcase will feature each grade’s unique artistic interpretation of building community, celebrating the diversity and creativity of our students.
