Preparation for the Future

Ava highlights the rigorous academic environment and the mentorship of specific faculty members as the foundation for her current success in D.C.
Refining the Craft: "English class with Dr. Crowe pushed me to sharpen my writing and truly challenged me to level up as a student. I use those skills constantly, from drafting legislative briefs to keeping up with academic demands at GW."
Finding a Calling: "Dr. Engl’s history courses helped me develop a deep love for American history and shaped my curiosity about government functions. That passion ultimately drove my desire to pursue a career in public oversight."

Favorite Moravian Academy Memory

Red and Gold Games Day. Ava cherishes the incredible sense of community the tradition fostered. "Working together with students of all ages, united around a common goal, was something truly special. Go Gold!"

Advice for Current Lions

"Trust yourself and resist the urge to compare your path to those around you. Everyone's journey looks different, and that's okay. Work hard, stay curious, and you'll end up exactly where you're meant to be."
Percy Fowler

Percy Fowler ’25

Current Focus:
Exploring the global city of London while studying, running, and engaging with the theatre community.

Preparation for the Future

Percy noted that Moravian Academy’s structure of English courses and faculty accessibility mirrored that of college. He credits the school with providing the opportunities to explore extracurriculars, including theatre and professional shadowing, that inspired lasting passions.
"The English courses and office hours are very similar to those of college, and I’m grateful for that. My writing is on a very good level for a freshman in college, and my time management has been highly important as well."

Favorite Moravian Academy Memory

Red and Gold Games Day. Percy loved the way it united the entire school in friendly competition and community spirit. The Lipsync Battle stands out as a favorite highlight of the day.

Advice for Current Lions

"Find your system and stick to it... Don’t burn unnecessary bridges, and don’t pretend to be above it either—appreciate it and take everything you can out of it so you can reminisce as opposed to regret."
Kalli Miller
