Congratulations to our Moravian Academy seniors and their teammates at the Swimming and Diving senior night meet with an impressive victories over Salisbury! The girls secured a hard-fought 84-78 win, while the boys triumphed 84-64. The meet was filled with standout performances, including numerous personal bests.
As the season progresses, both teams continue to build momentum. The boys currently hold a record of 5-4-1, while the girls stand at 3-7. The early season focused on refining technical skills and building fitness, and now, with increased yardage and high-intensity training, the team is hitting its stride. This dedication is paying off, setting the stage for strong performances at districts. Despite being a smaller team than last year, both squads boast competitive relays and standout individual swimmers poised to make an impact.
A key strength of this team is its unity. Comprised of athletes from both Wilson Area High School and Moravian Academy, the swimmers and divers have forged a close-knit bond that extends beyond the pool. Their camaraderie and commitment to each other play a crucial role in their success, proving that teamwork is just as important as talent.
With districts on the horizon, we can’t wait to see what this dedicated group will achieve next!
