Building Community Through Language: Spanish 1 Students Connect with HDC Buddies

As part of the Spanish 1 program, students had the special opportunity to connect with buddies at the HDC who are also beginning their Spanish immersion journey. Together, they read stories, wrote about their favorite winter activities, created winter-themed crafts, and, most importantly, bonded through shared experiences.

Students loved spending time with their buddies, marveling at how much fun it was to connect and how impressive the younger students were when speaking Spanish. Moments like these highlight the power of language and community, reinforcing the joy of learning together across our campuses.
